Ryder Morey-Weale is an artist based in Marseille, France.
His practice is nourished by scientific and hard-SF narratives, and investigates hybrid and marginal synergies and survival tactics that emerge within feral ecosystems.
His sculptural works and installations rely on materials and invasive beings found within disrupted landscapes.
In 2019, he co-founded Giselle’s Books (fka Giselle) with Lucas Jacques-Witz; a research project dedicated to editorial formats that extends through public programs, exhibitions, residencies, a physical archive, and a specific acquisition fund.
In 2021, he co-founded SYSTEMA, an annual festival in Marseille, France, that provides a venue and visibility for independent spaces, artist- or curator-run initiatives, and non-profit collaborative projects.
